Bushido: New Rules

Basic Resolution

BCS = Basic Chance of Success
MCS = Modified Chance of Success, BCS plus any bonuses minus and penalties.
TCS = Target Chance of Success
TB = Total Bonus

Use standard d20 except 20 counts as Zero.

If your MCS is <= 19 then your TCS is the MCS
If your MCS is > 19 then your TCS is 19 plus the difference (TB). IE MCS=25 then TCS=19, TB=6

You must roll LESS THAN your TCS to succeed.

If your BCS is 5-14 then you get a crit if you roll your maximum success (TCS-1)
If your BCS is 15-24 then you get a crit if you roll your maximum success and one less (TCS-2,TCS-1)
If your BCS is 25-34 then you get a crit if you roll 16,17,18

A roll of 19 is always a fail.
A roll of 19,18 is a fumble if your BCS is 1-5
A roll of 19 is a fumble if your BCS is 5-15

If you rolled a success add your TB, if it was a crit add another d6. This is your Effect Number.
