It is Saturnalia (Dec 17th? 60ish AD) in the city of Rome.

Ludus

The Standard BRP with the rules for Crits and Special changed so that there are only Crit which 10%. The Character Generation rules have been simplified.

• A Charete Race
• Death of a woman at a shrine by horses.
• Terga Ignavus is summoned to the Capitol Hill as the Pontefex is dead.

Pulvis: I/IV - Wed 25th October 2005

• The group investigate the death of the Pontefex under the watchful eye of Quintus Atilius Regulus a Praetorian centurian.
• They the go to the top of the Capitaline Hill and investiagte his study in the temple to Jupitor. They find a Wax Tablet with names of Gods and his Diary.
• They then go and investigate the references in the Diary in the Temple of Apollo.

• The group figure out what Vaqccep means and on a hunch stack out the Formum assuming that the cultists will come that way to the Capitinine Hill.
• They miss them in the dark but Cleanus neerly kills Festino by mistake
• The follow the cultist to the top of the hill and see that the Jupitor temple has been hit by lightning bolts and there is a girl fried on the steps.
• Terga follows a cultist from the hill, he turns into beetles and bits him all over. The group arrives just as he goes down.

Pulvis: I/VI - Wed 23th November 2005

• Terga is found with a strange black woolen robe and an unusal senct.
• Aquillus gets into the temple of Apollo and get to see the SibellineScrolls. There is blood all around the reading room. He leaves purtening to find nothing is there.
• Terga is given medican by the doctor and he lives (but just)
• Cleanus go looking for the provary of the purfue or seller of the robes. He finds none in the city.
• Aquillus returns to the SpongOnAStick and waits the rest of the group. We read the scroll info and then some go to see if Terga's master knows more: FidenaeStadium, NeroStatium.

possibly a reference to the legendary Bull statue from sacking of Carthage which was used for sacrifice.

but reallistically - Nero is building an amphitheatre called the Statillus Tarus.

"the place of the Standing Bull" = amphitheatre called the Statillus Tarus

nero is holding inagural games on the last day of Saturnalia in this new amphitheatre.
